The Fertility Rate is the average number of births per woman in a particular age group. The Total Fertility Rate is the average number of births that a woman would have in her lifetime if she lived through her reproductive years at the current age-specific fertility rates.

The mean age of women at childbirth is the average age of women when they give birth to live-born children. The median age of women at childbirth is the age where half of mothers are younger and and half are older.
